It is important to choose a properly accredited practitioner who has completed the required training in a recognised establishment. I qualified at WPF Therapy in the following:
M.A. in Psychodynamic Studies
Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
M.A. in Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
WPF Therapy is regarded as one of the leading counselling and psychotherapy training organisations in the UK with a reputation for both clinical and academic excellence.
I am a full member of the WPF’s graduate organisation, the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). This foundation has the highest code of ethics, and a complaints procedure that ensures proper standards of care, confidentiality and professionalism at all times. I am also a member of CPJA, the largest organisation of psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and Jungian psychotherapists in the UK.
In addition, I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and am a professional member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). These organisations are the two largest professional bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, and are known for appropriately trained and qualified members. Their role is to promote, maintain and uphold the highest standards in psychotherapy throughout the UK, and they regard public accountability of paramount importance.
Before qualifiing as a therapist I worked in the creative sector of the broadcast industry.
